Aimed at the large population of older Americans who cannot afford or choose not to enroll in computer training or Internet training, Generations on Line is both a service for access and product for learning. Using familiar images and large type instructions, the program guides elders who have no computer experience through four basic Internet functions: electronic mail (email), discussion (threaded chat), a multi-lingual search by Alta Vista and links to other sites.

The Gale Business and Company Resource Center is a fully integrated resource bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals.  Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information.

Also known as First Search, this database can aid in locating genealogical materials, finding books by a specific author, learning who starred in a film, locating books on tape, displaying a photograph from a digitized collection, finding proceedings of an international conference, or seeing if a nearby library owns a book and possibly requesting it through interlibrary loan.
