Confidentiality of Patron Information

The Cape Girardeau Public Library Board of Trustees upholds and protects our patron’s right to privacy. We protect each library user’s right to privacy and confidentiality with respect to information sought or received and resources consulted, borrowed, acquired or transmitted. As such, the library adheres to these rights as established in the American Library Association’s Code of Ethics. A copy of ALA’s Code of Ethics can be found in the appendix.
