Sous-vide (pronounced soo-VEED) is a method of cooking food that has been vacuum-sealed and immersed in a regulated, low-temperature water bath. It cooks the food slowly and more evenly than other cooking methods and yields tender meats.

General Information

In order to borrow items from the Library of Things, a signed Use Agreement and Release must be on file. Borrower must be 18 or older and a CGPL cardholder in good standing.


Funding for this addition to the Library of Things was provided by Window World and the Friends of the Cape Girardeau Public Library Foundation.
