Stay Sharp Handyman Kit

The handyman kit is perfect for those who love to work with their hands. This kit features the book Sears House Designs of the thirties, Handyman magnetic board, Keva Brain builders, Conversation starters for men. The first activity will elicit memories and stimulate conversation with the retro illustrated pieces. The second activity focuses on fine motor skills, strategy, physics, and basic engineering skills. The last activity will spark conversation, allowing one to reminise about a particular aspect or experience.

Sears house designs of the thirties: Proudly promoting itself as "the largest home building organization in the world,) Sears, Roebuck and Company advertised its 1932 products in a hand-some catalog that also displayed a full-size replica of Mount Vernon, created from Sears materials for a Paris expostion in 1932.

Handyman: A magnetic picture board created with retro illustrated pieces to elicit memories and/or stimulate conversations (1 board, 18 magnets).

KEVA brain builders: Adults will test their skills by manipulating their KEVA planks to dupicate the balance, proportions, composition, and geometry featured on each card 20 planks, 30 cards, ages 7+).

Conversation starters for men: Designed to encourage individuals experiencing memory loss to reminise about a particular aspect or experience from their lives - the events both big and small that helped us become the people we are today (52 double-sided cards)

General Information

In order to borrow items from the Library of Things, a signed Use Agreement and Release must be on file. Borrower must be 18 or older and a CGPL cardholder in good standing.
