Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a series of FREE fine arts workshops! In this series, participants will learn poetry writing over the course of 8 guided sessions. Our professional teaching artist, Ashley Durrance, will teach participants everything they need to know to master this art form. When the series is finished, we will celebrate with a showcase of the writing created.

To register, participants must be aged 55+ and be able to attend sessions in person. Registration is required and space is limited. Registering for the first date will automatically enroll you for all sessions. Registration will close after the start of the first session. The Creative Writing Exhibit will be held on Saturday, December 7th, and open to the public.

Advancing Creative Aging Through State Library Leadership Initiative is a joint initiative of Califa Group, Wyoming State Library, Missouri State Library, and Lifetime Arts. It was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant.
